5. OIRC Nutritionist Directory

The OIRC Directory (“Directory”) is a professional collaboration tool for nutritionists. By registering for the Directory, you agree to the following:

5.1 Information You Provide

To join the Directory, you must submit certain information, which may include:

Name
Email address
Job title / position
Organisation
Professional biography or other optional details

You confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to share it.

5.2 Visibility of Your Information

The Directory has two visibility levels:

Public (non‑member) users can view:

Your name
Your job title
Your organisation

Approved OIRC members can view:

All information on your Directory profile, including your email address and any optional details you choose to provide

Your contact information will never be visible to the general public.

5.3 Membership Approval

Access to full Directory profiles is restricted to approved OIRC members. Membership applications are reviewed by the OIRC administrative team, who may approve or decline applications at their discretion.

5.4 Your Responsibilities

You must:

Use Directory information only for legitimate professional collaboration
Not harvest, scrape, or repurpose Directory data for marketing, commercial, or automated use
Not share another member’s contact details without their consent

Misuse of Directory information may result in removal from the Directory and/or reporting to relevant authorities.

5.5 Our Responsibilities Under UK GDPR

We process Directory data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. We act as the data controller for information you provide.

We will:

Use your data only for the operation of the Directory and related OIRC services
Store your data securely
Restrict access to approved members only
Not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing

6. User Accounts and Security

If you create an account, you must keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised access.

We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these Terms or pose a security risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We exclude all warranties, conditions and representations relating to the website
We are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the site shall not exceed £100
